ABP is constructing a 5th multi-deck vehicle handling facility and associated transporter (loading/unloading area) within the Eastern Docks to accommodate the import and export of vehicles.
The contractor Morgan Sindall has been appointed to undertake the works, and we are very pleased to have been awarded the decoration contract by them.
The new facility will be located off European Way, adjacent to the Empress Dock in an area currently used for vehicle handling activities within the Eastern Docks. The transporter area will be located adjacent to the port boundary, whilst the multi-deck facility will be located approximately 100m from the Port boundary.
The construction programme will be of duration 9-10 months having commenced in March 2013.
